Yes You Can Exercise From Bed

There are many countless people out there who struggle to exercise.  They either cannot find the time, or they simply don’t know where to begin.  Why not begin the second you wake up? Doing your exercise in bed can be a simple way to get your juices flowing in the morning.

Each and every one of us should exercise.  There isn’t a group of people to be found that is too fit or too healthy for it.  I’ll just flat out say it; it should be a part of your everyday life.

Working out in bed can be a simple way to incorporate exercise into your daily routine by making it a habit.

It has been said that it takes 21 days to form a habit.  This can be difficult for some people because lots of things get in their way during those first 21 days.  If you start running, there might be bad weather.  If you try to eat right, you might fall off the bandwagon with a great candy bar.  But every one of us starts their day in bed!  There are no excuses.

You might be imagining sweaty sheets or other excuses but doing exercise from bed doesn’t mean you sweat like a boxer.  All it means is you consciously give yourself five or ten minutes to get your day started right.

Once it becomes more and more routine, you will find it becomes the few precious moments you need to conquer the world.

One exercise you can do from bed is simple stretching.  Put one foot on the outside of the opposite knee, then switch.  Sit up straight and pull your left arm across your chest.  Place your right arm above the left elbow and feel your shoulders wake up to a new day.

Another exercise from bed are sit ups.  You are probably aware of twenty different crunches.  Pick one or a few and do a couple sets.  Any type of core exercise will do wonders for your posture.

There are plenty of other exercises you can try.  The point is to spend 10 minutes as soon as you wake up focusing on your body.

Once this becomes routine, you will see a difference in your daily life.

The point of doing your early morning exercise from bed is not to burn a ton of calories or get in fantastic shape.  It’s to begin each day focusing on your health.  It forces you to consider your body, your posture, your overall lifestyle.

This is not training for a huge event, it is incorporating things into your morning routine that you can do every day you have breath.  People in their nineties can do it, so can you.

Go slow and pay attention to what makes you feel good.  Next time you wonder how you can jumpstart your day, consider doing a little exercise from bed.
