By this time, you must have already heard the Laws of Attraction. This concept borders on the belief that you can do anything if you will put your mind to it and think positively. In this universal law, one of the secrets to getting your goals in life is through visualization.
Good visualization ability and skills will help a person to ultimately succeed in life. It is something that has to be developed continuously to enhance personal development and self growth and for consistent successes.
You should bear in mind that what we have is a mental universe and that the sensations in your life are given by your own consciousness. Given that, your failure to create detailed and clear thought images may result in the lack of satisfaction and full realization of what you visualized to happen.
You may not realize it yet but everything you do is done because you formed it in your mind, something you picture complete with sensory information and emotion. Problems arise however if you have not yet fully developed this ability.
One way to test yourself is by thinking what you want your life to be in the future. Try to make it as detailed as possible. If you find it hard to see clear images, that is because your visualization abilities are not yet thoroughly developed.
The absence of these clear thought images can lead to poor goal setting. You will not be able have a plan that you can follow or a blueprint to impress upon your universal mind that you can later on turn into physical expression.
To help you develop your visualization abilities that will allow you to enjoy its life changing benefits, below are a few exercises:
1. Look around you and choose one thing to observe. Write down and record all that you will observe about this object and then ask somebody to do the same on the same object. Then, compare your list and find out the similarities.
This is what is called focused visualization and young children are great at this. Lastly, close your eyes and try to recreate vividly in your mind all details about the object.
2. Try to observe two similar things that are different, like two cars. Try to observe the similarities of the two first. Then observe their differences. Next, as you did in the first exercise, close you’re eyes and try to create both cars in your mind one at a time. After that, try to create both of the trees in your mind at the same time.
3. The last exercise would be for you to observe an object first, like a kid playing at the park. Then close your eyes again and recreate the kid in your mind but put him in another location, say the carnival or the beach.
These exercises should not be done one after another. You need to count weeks or months in between doing them. Once mastered, the door to your intuition’s realization will be opened and you will then be able to make use to its fullest the power of visualization.
